Stumers Creek is a popular beach just to the north of Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast.

It is popular with the locals, and local dogs love it.

A creek runs from the ocean and cuts its way through the sand dunes making it a terrific place for artists to find subjects. Many well known Australian artists have taken advantage of the opportunity to paint there.

I recently took a group of students there as part of a 3 Day Sketchbook workshop. They all loved it despite the hot and humid weather on the day.

During the workshop some amazing cloud formations paraded their way past our group. 

This painting was done using the gouache demonstration painting from the workshop as my main reference.

It is framed in a quality frame and is ready to hang.
