This painting depicts the sheep country in the Sofala area in the Great Dividing Range. I painted this work because I liked the general atmospheric feel of the afternoon and the light on the clouds over the landscape. Scenes like this one represent the scale and distance of the landscape from a high vantage point. The warm colour scheme is typical of this district in summer after a dry spell. this painting is on MDF board and requires framing.
